Il progetto CARE-MEDIFLORA, "Conservation Actions for Threatened Mediterranean Island Flora: ex situ and in situ joint actions" si pone come obiettivo il miglioramento dello stato di conservazione delle specie vegetali mediterranee minacciate. Si tratta di un progetto realizzato da sei centri di ricerca che operano nel Mediterraneo, con il coordinamento del Gruppo Specialista delle piante mediterranee della IUCN / SSC.
