Conservation Actions for Threatened Mediterranean Island Flora: ex situ and in situ joint actions
CARE-MEDIFLORA at the “Cyprus Agricultural and Garden Exhibition”, 5-7 October 2018

The Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment of Cyprus participated in the “Cyprus Agricultural and Garden Exhibition” (https://www.agroexpo.net/main). The exhibition was organized at the International Fair Grounds in Nicosia between the 5th and 7th of October 2018. According to previous records, around 24,000 people visit the exhibition. The project “CARE-MEDIFLORA” had a predominant position in the panels, presenting the in situ and ex situ conservation activities of the Department of Forests and the Agricultural Research Institute. Visitors had the opportunity to be informed about the project and see rare plants of the flora of Cyprus. Project leaflets were also distributed to the public.
